We booked them for our wedding (string trio for the ceremony, Ultra Lounge throughout the dinner, and DJ Soul for the reception). The whole experience was absolutely phenomenal, Daniel and Veronica were so kind and responsive throughout the booking and helped manage everything down to the smallest detail. The service we received was extremely professional. The day of, everything was organized and their part was the one thing I did not have to worry about that day. The musicians are extremely talented, Rosemary sung beautifully, and the DJ was phenomenal - he really got the party going. We got so many compliments on the music from our guests! Soul Station Orchestra was the best decision we made for our wedding night. They are extremely professional, honest, and so easy to work with. They were always available during the planning process. We had the String Trio for our ceremony and cocktails and they were incredible. Their repertoire has so many beautiful and original songs to choose from for the ceremony procession. They play beautifully. We had the 7 piece band for the reception along with the saxophonist. They are all so talented. Our guests raved about how good the band is. Their set up was also really impressive and the sound was always on point. They had our guests engaged and on the dance floor all night. I could not recommend this band enough!!!

As a bride living in the U.S. and planning a destination wedding in Montreal, I relied very heavily on social media when scouting my vendors. When I first saw a video of Soul Station Orchestra posted on Instagram, I was instantly drawn to the group’s aesthetic, but I was cautious – could I really count on performance and professionalism based solely on a 30 second clip? However, after meeting with Daniel (the group’s manager) during a trip to Montreal in November, I was immediately assured that he would do what it took to make sure we had the caliber of reception I’d always envisioned. We went through all our timing, entrances, special requests, “absolute-do-not-play” songs, and other details. Daniel was attentive and quick to respond to my many emails in the days leading up to the wedding. And – as for the actual event – they blew it out of the water. We had the string trio play on the rooftop bar during our cocktail hour (under a rainbow, as luck would have it!), followed by the full band and DJ at the reception. They handled all the introductions/announcements gracefully, and really helped to ensure that everything went smoothly for the toasts and speeches. Daniel even went so far as to ensure that the band learned our first dance – Nat King Cole’s “Unforgettable”- because it was so important to me that it be played live. Additionally, because we had quite a diverse group of guests (all ages, nationalities, ethnicities, etc.) we didn’t want the music to focus too heavily on any one era/genre. They nailed it with their compilations, transitioning from one song to another while keeping the momentum and energy going. In that magical moment of the first “open” dance song, I looked around the dance floor and felt my heart leap: almost every. single. guest. was rushing to the center of the room, spilling over the dance floor to boogie the night away. Two months later, I am still getting comments from my guests about how great (and versatile!) our band was! He truly was the ultimate highlight and star of our wedding night. We had previously asked our DJ to mix a set of 14 songs that we had carefully picked for him to play during the hype of the party and he played every - single - one of them TO PERFECTION!!!! Our guests were all in awe and started dancing as soon as he started to play the first notes of the first song (which was Careless Whisper, but EDM version!) and he himself was dancing/jumping while playing the saxophone and still keeping his notes and technique absolutely impeccable?? Alex truly made our wedding even more perfect and memorable that we could have ever imagined and for that, we are forever grateful :’) !!!! Our guests still won’t stop talking about it and telling us how much they were surprised to hear and see a saxophonist on the dance floor, how they absolutely loved his mind blowing performance, his incredible energy and his flawless style!!!!
